Thomson Reuters Foundation launched the Stop Slavery Award in 2015 to recognise organisations and companies who can be considered “best-in-class” based on the policies and the processes they have in place to limit the risk of slavery in their supply chain and operations, as well as the role they are playing as key agents in the global fight against slavery.
WINNER OF THE STOP SLAVERY COLLABORATION AWARD: JUSTICE AND CARE
Justice and Care jointly won the Collaboration Award for our partnership with Border Guards Bangladesh – working together to tackle and prevent human trafficking and modern slavery on the India/Bangladesh border.
Collaboration is at the very heart of how we operate. We believe that only by working directly with governments and law enforcement agencies, will we see the kind of systemic change needed to stop the criminal networks responsible for ruthlessly exploiting vulnerable people.
